P.E. Requirements........

These are some things you should know when coming to P.E.

Positive Attitude!

We like to have FUN!! Sportsmanship and positive attitudes are a MUST for all participants to have a good time, no matter their skill level or abilities. When you come to P.E., we expect students to display and promote these attributes daily. P.E. is the most fun part of the day!!

Shoes.......
Ok. Some safety issues.....P.E. (Physical Education) is all about movement and rigorous activity. Almost all of the activities in P.E. revolve around fast movements, and often times pieces of equipment such as balls, rackets, goals, etc. We know that often times sandals match your outfit PERFECT! However, PLEASE, make sure that you wear appropriate shoes to P.E. We would hate to have an injury to a toe or ankle (or mess up those awesome sandals!) Maybe you can keep a pair of shoes in your locker? At any rate, make sure you come to P.E. in the correct shoes! (Athletic shoes, no sandals/flip flops)
Clothing
Yes, we live in Texas, where the seasons are Hot, Hotter, Hottest, and Surface of the Sun. Since the majority of the time we are outside, please make sure that you are wearing appropriate clothing for rapid movements and activities in hot weather. This will help you stay cool in the crazy heat. And, if we do by chance get one of those (rare) cold fronts later in the year, make sure that you bring a jacket to PE and dress warmly because we will still be going outside if the activity demands it! Your child may also bring sunscreen if he or she prefers! Please have your student keep the sunscreen in his or her locker, and apply it BEFORE they come down to the gym.

Doctors Notes

We get it! Stuff happens! However, some steps need to be taken if you are injured, or have an issue that will hold you out of PE. Please provide a note from a parent if the child needs to miss one to three days. If your child went to the doctor, and has a doctors note, that will need to be turned in to our front office staff and they will notify us in PE.  If your child needs to sit out for more than a week, we will need a doctor's note on file.  Please bring a doctor's clearance to play note when your child is cleared by the Doctor to return to full activity.
